Between the Girls

As a child it was important to have a friend whose name you could write in a friendship book. When I found my best friend in junior high it felt as if I was learning to fly or eating chocolate all the time without feeling stuffed. Even today when I am spending time with my friends I have that same feeling of an eternal summer’s eve.

My little sister feels the same. She has a group of friends; like another family. I joined them at a beach. It was the last evening before everyone went their separate ways.
